How often should I clean, oil, or condition my saddle?

It is recommended that you clean your saddle after each use by brushing the dirt, mud, or grime off before storing it. As a rule of thumb, you should clean (brush and wash), oil, or condition your saddle once a fiscal quarter or once every three months.

My saddle has mold on it. Can it be salvaged or cleaned?

Depending of the severity of it, this would be a case-by-case basis. But the simple answer is yes, if the saddle has light mold on it, it can still be cleaned and salvaged.

What is spew? Does it harm or damage leather?

Spew is the result of the over application or over saturation of neatsfoot oil to the leather, thus leaving a white greasy substance type film which gives your leather and saddle a less desirable appearance. If left untreated, spew can possible leave unwanted dark spots on your leather.

Do you repair damaged saddles or tack?

Small repair such as replacing saddle strings can be included in your service. For any other repairs, it is suggestive that you contact your local saddle maker.
